Cory’s Favorite Smoothies

If ya’ll know me, then you know I basically live off smoothies! I generally drink 1 or 2 smoothies every single day because I honestly hate pretty much every single vegetable and try to mask the taste by blending everything together lol.

Recently I’ve been getting tons of veggies into my smoothies because instead of using water or almond milk as the base of my smoothies, I’ve been juicing! Serious juicing kick over here and the benefits are unbelievable! It’s said that juicing can reduce your risk of cancer, boost your immune system, help remove toxins from your body, aid digestion and help you lose weight. juicing allows your body to absorb the nutrients better and it gives your digestive system a rest from working on the fiber found in the whole vegetable or fruit. Plus, if you really aren’t a veggie fan like me, this is a great way to sneak all the veggies into your diet! I try to avoid adding too much fruit because the sugars in fruit add extra calories and if you’re not careful, you can actually end up gaining weight! Ahhh! So my personal rule of thumb is 1 fruit per 3 veggies.

If you don’t have a juicer, I highly recommend investing in one! I use mine every single day and honestly crave the juice now. They are a little pricey, mine costing just over $200, but I know I’ve definitely gotten over $200 worth of use out of it! You can shop mine here though!

I get that juicers are a bit on the pricey side, but it’s so worth the investment if you use your juicer as much as I do! This one is a great option because it is very easy to put together, use, and even easier to clean. I generally just rinse all the parts off really well once I’m done using it in the morning because I know I’m going to use it again later on that day and then throw the parts in the dishwasher every couple nights.

So, lets get to a few of my favorite recipes! What do I generally add in my smoothies? Well, the base is the juice, I always add in chia seeds, protein powder, ice, and sometimes half of a banana!

Some of my favorite recipes right now:

Juice 1 cup carrots, 1/2 cucumber, 3 large handfuls of spinach, and 1 orange

1/2 tbsp chia seeds

Add 1 scoop of Greenberry or Tropical Strawberry Shakeology (Still love me some Shake-o)

The Greenberry flavor makes it a little more tart and the Tropical Strawberry adds a little sweetness

a large handful of ice, blend, and enjoy.

I’m absolutely obsessing over this one this week:

Juice 2 cups carrots, 3 celery stalks, 3 large handfuls of spinach, and 1 cup of strawberries

1/2 tbsp chia seeds

Add 1 scoop of TC Nutrition Cookies N’ Cream protein powder (I know, it sounds absolutely disgusting mixed into fruit and veggie juice but I promise it’s delicious.)

a large handful of ice, blend, and enjoy.

Juice 1 cucumber, 2 handfuls spinach, 1 1/2 apples

1/2 tbsp chia seeds

Add 1 scoop of TC Nutrition Vanilla Ice Cream protein powder

a large handful of ice, blend, and enjoy

HA! But, for real. Do it.
